What is WHOLE SMOOTHIE WEEK: A dairy-free, processed food-free, delicious week of consuming a smoothie-a-day, and whole food meals that are free from anything artificial. Only real, delicious foods this week.

Add Color: Tips and hacks on adding color to your life with fruits and vegetables. (YES, this really makes a difference. Different colors means different antioxidants. Really what antioxidants are is the color of the fruit. For example, the color Red is Lycopene, and Lycopene is associated with being heart healthy. Dark Blue/Purple such as a blueberry, the antioxidant is Anthocynian which is loaded with antioxidants.
Move More: Easy ways to put your body in motion and love being more physically active. (Key word here is LOVE, be thankful you can still move your body and flow through the day swiftly. This can be anything as taking a walk around the block. Daily workouts that can get you movin’ and groovin’.
Be Well: How to sustain healthy habits for overall wellbeing, including sleep, stress relief, weight management, mindfulness, social connection and more. Throughout the year we move through seasons. What I mean by this is we prepare for the winter, we plant in the spring, we harvest in the Summer, we bear the fruit in the fall. Every month there is an over arching theme navigating us through the long game of our life. People underestimate what they can do in 10 years and overestimate what they can do in 1 year (often leaving one less inclined or motivated to keep going). Here we’re in it for the long game, did you read the part earlier about the Chicago Marathon? January is the New Year Best Year, February is Heart Health Month, March is March Fitness Month, April is Whole30 Month, May is May Meditation, and concluded the first half of the year is Joyful June. Taking time to reflect on the growth that has taken place to begin this new improved you. Now we must remember, to be sure to reward the victories and small wins along the way, the only way to enjoy another meal though is to get hungry. We must continue to reach for and set higher standards for ourself with great reason.
